Steve Binney joined Osbit as a formative team member in 2010 and has over 18 years of experience in developing and delivering engineering systems for the offshore industry.

Prior to Osbit, Steve worked as a lead design engineer in the offshore industry. In his time at a major offshore engineering business, he oversaw the design of over 240 tonnes of vessel based equipment, as well as designing two 100 tonne pipe handling systems for a subsea plough.

Steve is committed to supporting our industry’s technology needs. He is responsible for leading Osbit innovation, including developing new engineering and software solutions to suit the evolving needs of our industry.

In his journey at Osbit, Steve has led milestone projects key to our growth. These include twin ROV Launch and Recovery systems and a trio of multi award-winning Intervention Tension Frames for state-of-the-art new-build vessels. Steve was also a project owner on our most technically complex project to date, a 40-metre tall, 1300 tonne well intervention tower system.
